My Favorite Long Lasting Makeup

Long Lasting Makeup

I am obsessed with makeup and I always like trying new products.  I wake up at about 6am to get ready to go to work and I don't usually get home until about 6:30pm so I need make up that LASTS!  Here are some of my favorites that last all day.

I love the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Liquid 24H Longwear Foundation.  It lasts all day and has SPF15!  I apply it with a beauty blender to get full coverage and to help my foundation last all day.  I also like Makeup For Ever's Ultra HD Foundation but I find that it doesn't last as long as the Lancome foundation.

Ever since I've had kids, I've had to use concealer because the nights are LONG and I don't want to show up to work with dark circles under my eyes.  Nars' Radiant Creamy Concealer glides on smooth and covers any evidence of a late night.

Before I apply any foundation, I use Smashbox's Photo Finish Primer to help my makeup last all day. I use the color correcting formula to help even out my skin tone.  Don't be alarmed by the green color.  Once you rub it on your skin, it blends in and helps cover up any redness.

After I apply my foundation and concealer, I lock it in with Laura Mercier's Invisible Pressed Setting Powder.  This powder works miracles!  It gives you a soft look without looking cakey like most powders.

Who hates getting a color crease with your eyeshadow?  I'm sure I'm not alone!  I use Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion to keep your eyeshadow on all day without forming that oily crease.

With summer coming up and the temperature rising, these products will keep your makeup on all day so you won't have your makeup melting off.

What are some of your favorites?

Meeting Chip and Joanna Gaines From Fixer Upper!

For my corporate job, I work for a media buying agency where we buy commercial time on TV.  Through my job, I am able to attend many television network events including the upfronts.  The upfronts are when the networks discuss their ratings and successes from the past year and announce new shows for the upcoming year.

Last week, I attended the Scripps Upfront where they announced their new shows for HGTV, Food Network, Cooking Channel, DIY, and Travel.  The highlight of the night for me was meeting Chip and Joanna Gaines.  Chip and Jo have been very busy with their hit show, Fixer Upper, and their other projects like the Magnolia House (a vacation home), the Magnolia Market at the Silos, the Magnolia shop, and their new pillow line!

If you haven't already heard, Joanna is getting her own spin off!  Fixer Upper: Behind the Design will focus on how she creates the designs that appear in each episode.  Check out this sneak peak!  Tonight, is the first episode at 11pm EST!

7 Inspiring Backyards

The weather in NYC has been crazy lately.  We have had days where it was 60 degrees and the next day it snowed.  Tomorrow, we are supposed to get 12"-24" of snow!  I enjoy the excitement of a snow day but I don't like being snowed in.

We have had a tough winter with a lot of snow so I am very excited for the temperature to rise above 60 degrees so we can take the kids outside.  We love to take them to a local playground but it's also fun spending time with them in the backyard  and grilling and eating outdoors.

I could see myself spending hours hanging out in any of these amazing spaces.
